My journey into women’s health began as a labor and delivery nurse, after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the City College of New York. In those early years, I mastered the technical and medical aspects of childbirth — but I quickly realized that true care is about more than procedures. It’s about honoring the profound beauty, strength, and wisdom of the birthing woman.
My perspective was profoundly transformed when I pursued a Master’s degree in Nursing/Midwifery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, leading me to embrace midwifery. This transition deepened my appreciation for the natural journey of childbirth, involving not just the mother but also the baby, who plays a significant role in this profound event. My experiences taught me that childbirth is not merely a medical event but a dynamic, emotional, and holistic journey.
I am committed to shifting traditional childbirth practices towards approaches that empower women and embrace their innate ability to give birth. I emphasize the importance of nutrition, movement, and stress reduction, alongside fostering an environment filled with love and joy. These elements are crucial for positive outcomes for both mother and baby, as they enhance the physical and emotional well-being of the entire family.
By promoting a more natural and supportive approach to childbirth, I aim to improve health outcomes and ensure that each birth experience is as joyful and empowering as possible. My goal is to change the narrative around childbirth, advocating for a respectful, informed, and compassionate approach that honors the strength and capability of every woman.
Through my workshops and interactions, I strive to share my extensive experience and insights, building a supportive community where knowledge, compassion, and holistic health practices pave the way for healthier mothers, babies, and families.
